AutoLedger is designed around a personal ledger that begins on your devices. It avoids an absolute “never uploads” promise because some features—such as optional iCloud sync, entitlement checks, a Pro folio inbox and services you explicitly enable—use documented network paths.
What local-first means in AutoLedger
Core ledger editing, OCR, parsing, classification, duplicate detection and reports are designed around local processing. You choose when to enable supported synchronization, cloud-assisted recognition or automation features.
- Capture or edit an expense using the local-first ledger experience.
- Review optional features and grant only the permissions or service access you want.
- Export records, disable optional services or delete local data when your needs change.
Storage, services and limits
On your device
Local ledger records, hotel expenses, subscriptions and settings are managed by the app on your device. Device storage and deletion remain under your control.
Optional iCloud
If enabled, iCloud can synchronize or back up supported information through your Apple account and system settings.
Purpose-specific services
The Pro folio inbox, Common API, subscription validation, notifications and anonymous diagnostics use their documented cloud boundaries when relevant.
External recognition
Optional third-party recognition or AI services are used only when you configure or activate the corresponding capability. Review those providers' terms before enabling them.
